Head of T-Rex Musiq
I do a little bit of everything on here on the side of listening to Parcels all day.
My favourite music moment
This would have to be the sunset at the beach stage on the Saturday at Strawberry Fields, 2019. For those that have ventured out to Tocumwal for this before, you’d know exactly what I’m talking about. Starting from Thursday, every day somehow outdid the last. The naïve me thought coming into the Saturday that it would be impossible to beat dancing barefoot in the dust all of yesterday to some incredible music, whilst the sun airdried the water off between rinses in the Murray/Millewa/Tongala.
To put it short, the Saturday was simply the best day of my life. I didn’t think this level of fun was possible. The whole gang donned yellow for the day and danced almost tribal-like around our parked eskies and doof sticks right in the middle of the dancefloor as Session Victim and Oliver Huntemann set a whole new standard of how to deliver a live set. Overlooking the sea of smiles and happy tears I can vividly remember thinking that every good and bad day of my life had led to this perfect day.
Journeying from the main stage to the beach stage to catch the sun setting, reflecting off of the water as festival goers either danced, caught their last dip of the day, or soaked everything in like I was signed off the day in style.
